Brain Injury Support Worker, East Ham

Monday and Friday 12pm-6pm and Tuesday and Saturday 1pm-5pm

Pay rate £11.85 per hour weekdays and £12.85 at weekends.

SweetTree Home Care Services has been committed to providing exceptional support and community-based services for people with acquired brain injuries and long-term neurological conditions for 20 years.

We are currently looking for an experienced support worker to assist our chatty, sociable young client, who has acquired a brain injury in a car accident and lives in East Ham. Due to the brain injury, our clients short term memory and executive functions have been affected, and he has difficulty planning, organising and with problem solving.  Support is required to assist our client in accessing the local gym, mosque, social activities, and support with gaining further independence.

Key Support Worker Tasks include:

  • Support the client to undertake their rehabilitation programme
  • Support with day-to-day tasks such as budgeting, managing appointments and assisting with correspondence
  • Support with activities of daily living & accessing the gym and mosque

The support worker role can be quite a challenging environment so skills such as a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and passion to make a difference are key. You will be supported by our extensively experienced office team and multidisciplinary therapists.
