SweetTree proud sponsor of The Alzheimer’s Show 2016
SweetTree is delighted to be headline sponsor of The Alzheimer’s Show for a third year running.
The show is the UK’s only exhibition and conference dedicated to the public and professionals dealing with the issues of dementia. It is unique in bringing together specialist care and support services that can help those with dementia and their families to live their lives to the full. This year’s event will be taking place at Olympia London exhibition halls, on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 June 2016.
SweetTree provides specialist care and support at home and in the community for those with dementia and a range of care needs, and the specialist dementia care team will be managing a number of key show features.
The SweetTree Quiet Lounge will offer tranquility and timeout from the busy exhibition space for those with dementia. It will be available throughout the event and give those with dementia a place to relax with family members, hand massage, relaxing sensory equipment and refreshments will be on offer.
The team will also be managing a programme of practical activities workshops, which bring together experts from across a range of disciplines. Each workshop will offer visitors ideas for how they may help improve and enhance the lives of those they care for with dementia. Topics will range from music and crafts, to aromatherapy, diet and nutrition, seated exercise, specialist sensory equipment, gardening and horticulture and ways to adapt the home environment.
Barry Sweetbaum, managing director of SweetTree, commented: “Thousands of individuals, families and professionals are dealing with the challenges presented by dementia every single day.
