Job Description

Role: Finance Manager


Location: SweetTree Home Care Services - Coleridge House, 1 Coleridge Gardens, London NW6 3QH
Shifts:  Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. 37.5 hours weekly.
Salary: £57,000 - £65,000 per annum

SweetTree Home Care Services, a multi award-winning provider, are looking for dedicated Finance Manager to become part of our team. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will not only be an exceptional accountant and hands-on with company finances but will also be commercially aware and take the lead on analysing and evaluating opportunities for growth and rationalisation, enhancing financial reporting, and engineering improvements to systems and processes.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Finance Director to grow the business
  • Driving change across all Finance processes and striving for operational excellence and best practice.  
  • Providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.  
  • Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.  
  • Support in developing and directing the finance team
  • Support in developing and controlling the company’s annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met and reforecast periodically.  
  • Preparation of the company’s management accounts and forecasts
  • Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies, and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company.  
  • Provide timely financial advice and guidance to the company’s managers
  • Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively
  • Support in ensuring that the company meets its financial and legal obligations such as audit and tax.  
  • Managing the annual audit across all companies.  
  • Presentation of monthly and annual reporting to the senior management team.  
  • Overseeing and assessing capital projects
  • Overall financial management and forecasting
  • Support with capital raising and investor relations
  • Actively managing cashflow
  • Managing accounts payable 

Essential Experience:  

  • Part qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with a good track record and demonstrable experience in a senior role.  
  • Worked in a hands-on finance role. 
  • Excellent commercial and business acumen. 
  • Have a strong drive to ensure there is continuous improvement in processes & procedures. 
  • A team player with proven leadership qualities, keen to learn and develop, capable of motivating, controlling and developing staff. 
  • Proactive, sense of initiative, able to establish own priorities and work to deadlines. 
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel essential
  • Experience of Xero preferred.      
  • Ability to work under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines.  
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  
  • Knowledge of GDPR
