Job Description

Young Persons Support Manager

Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

An exciting brand new opportunity has arisen to not only join, but be a key driver in the growth of a highly reputable London Home Care provider. SweetTree has been operating at the highest quality levels of care for over 20 years, a CQC twice consecutively rated “Outstanding” provider of care and multiple National Award winner - we are looking for a passionate and exceptional individual to join in on our mission to deliver the most outstanding care in the community. Although you will be responsible for a geographic region in London/Greater London, your own specialised knowledge will be key in helping us grow as a team.

SweetTree’s success has always been in our ability to pool our individual talents to benefit the group. The Young Persons Support Manager will be key in continuing our goal of specialising our “Young Persons” (13 – 18) offering at a time we are emphasising our dedicated Learning Disabilities service alongside our Award-Winning Care Farm. With considerable scope for growth, you will not be afraid to ‘get stuck in’, whether it be to create tangible positive changes in our clients’ lives, making key contacts in the community or in mentoring our aspiring Support Workers on their own care journeys. At SweetTree, you will sit comfortably with the idea of target driven outcomes, striving for excellence, and ultimately being an arbiter of your own success and changing lives for the better.

Key tasks of a Young Persons Support Manager include:

  • Manage your own caseload of clients for whom you will conduct thorough needs assessments, prepare care, and support plans which reflect the client’s needs
  • Participate in the management, recruitment and personal development of Support Workers
  • Acting as an advocate for your clients by working with their support teams and family to ensure the best quality of care for everyone is achieved.

Skills and experience for a Young Persons Support Manager includes:

  • Experience working with and improving the lives of people in the community
  • A relevant professional qualification such as social work, occupational therapy, psychology, speech and language therapy or nursing is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience of undertaking assessments and reviews
  • Prior care management experience is essential.

What we offer:

  • A competitive salary
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Training, personal development and clinical supervision
  • Opportunities to attend and present at conferences
  • Regular company social events
  • Supportive multicultural team environment
  • Use of shared company car
