Job Description

Support Manager, Learning Disabilities
£35,000 - £37,500 per annum
 
SweetTree Home Care is a well-established, leading community care provider in London and has recently been rated Outstanding by CQC for a second time. Our accredited Training Academy is one of the resounding reasons we have been recognised as an industry leader throughout our 20 years of service provision.
 
One of our services at SweetTree is a specialist Learning Disabilities Service that provides the highest quality care and support possible to both clients in their own homes and the community for people with mild, moderate, and severe learning disabilities, where we are currently looking to recruit a forward-thinking Support Manager. 
 
Our Support Mangers are the foundation to building long lasting relationships with our clients and their families supporting each of our clients to reach their full potential, focusing on what people can achieve rather than potential obstacles. With an active support model of care, we aim to both improve the quality of life for both clients and families by enabling individuals to lead more active and fulfilling lives and achieve our mission of being the number one provider of Learning Disability services in London. 
 
As well as providing home care and community outreach SweetTree also runs a care farm in Mill Hill specially designed to create positive experiences within a safe, nurturing, and social environment for our clients. 
 
Key tasks for our Support Manager include:
  • To carry out assessments and design forward thinking support plans
  • Introduce specialised support staff to new packages
  • Assist, train and support specialist teams 
  • Participate in the on-call rota
  • Work closely with the team to grow and develop the service
Experience / Skills Required:
  • Have experience working with clients who have a learning disability and designing support plans
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Positive attitude and keen to make a difference
