Support Worker - Brain Injury - New Barnet

We have been committed to providing exceptional support and community-based services for people with acquired brain injuries and long-term neurological conditions for 19+ years.
We are currently looking for a support worker to work with our client in New Barnet who has sustained a brain injury and needs support with her day to day tasks and rehabilitation plan. She has balance issues and gets tired very easily both physically and cognitively. Due to medication she can be prone to low moods. Our client speak Bulgarian fluently and wants to improve her English and Spanish.
We are particularly looking for support workers to cover daily from 9am - 1pm particularly weekends.
Support Worker tasks include:
- Support the client to undertake their rehabilitation programme
- Support with day-to-day tasks such as budgeting, managing appointments and assisting with correspondence
- Support with her rehabilitation plan
- Liaise with families, friends, advocates, external agencies and the management team to provide a consistent approach that meets the individual needs of each client
Essential Skills, Experience & Attitude:
- An understanding of the needs of all clients
- Proven experience of liaising with external stakeholders and other professionals
- Bulgarian speaker would be a bonus
- Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully at different levels, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent organisational skills and a thorough approach to work
- Ability to work autonomously and productively as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to undertake safe manual handling practices as required
