Carers praised for going ‘above and beyond’
Professional carers who have gone ‘above and beyond’ to provide exceptional care for individuals with a range of support needs, have been rewarded for their efforts as part of a special carer recognition scheme.
25 carers from SweetTree Home Care Service have been praised for their hard work and dedication to providing quality care at home and in the community. Described as ‘exceptional’ and ‘amazing’, the carers were all nominated by clients, their family members and other staff as making a real difference to someone’s life.
At a prize giving ceremony held at SweetTree’s head office in central London, the nominated carers were officially revealed, with one carer from each service unit also named a ‘Shining Star’ and receiving special recognition, including a £50 voucher. They were Edinah Busingye from the general home care team, Betty Ngema from the specialist dementia service, Malgorzata Jarosz from the brain injury team and Mohamed Messaoudi, who is part of SweetTree’s learning disabilities service.
“Our congratulations and thanks go to all the carers who have been nominated. We are proud of the consistently high quality care that they deliver, as evidenced by feedback from our clients and their families” said Barry Sweetbaum, SweetTree managing director.
“We are always looking to build on our team of excellent carers to support the sustained growth we continue to experience. It is a strong and positive sign of the recovering economy that we are able to create employment opportunities across all areas of the business.”
He added: “SweetTree continues to lead the way in setting quality standards in all areas of the work we do. By recruiting the right team, ensuring they receive the best training and supporting them with ongoing continuing education, we ensure that those we support receive the highest quality of care possible.”
SweetTree, which employs over 400 people, provides person-centred domiciliary care for individuals with a wide range of care needs. The company is recognised by Investors In People as a gold standard company and recently become the first home care provider in the UK to achieve a highly regarded AIM Awards Quality Mark for its in-house training programmes.
