SweetTree’s Admiral Nurse shares his insights with the Alzheimer’s Show
SweetTree’s Admiral Nurse, Rikki Lorenti, was delighted to take part in an interview with the Alzheimer’s Show, offering his top tips and advice for families who are facing a diagnosis of dementia.
As an Admiral Nurse with over 30 years’ experience in mental health care, Rikki provides practical and emotional support for families, with the aim of helping them to cope with the challenges of living with dementia.
In the interview he talks about his experiences and the type of support that is available for both family members and the person with dementia.
He also offers guidance on managing some of the most challenging issues that can arise with dementia, such as stress, disorientation, anxiety and mood swings. Plus reminds carers of the importance of taking care of themselves too and setting aside time to step out and recharge.
